Live Like Me
people ask me this all day, every day.
“how do you live like that.”
because something in them already knows the life they’re living isn’t the one they want.
i’ve always been the odd man out. i used to share long poetic posts on social media when people shared surface level selfies. i’ve always thought:
if it’s not bringing someone close to nature or saying something important or telling a story, don’t share it.
most people just want to show the glorious parts of their life. i share the realness. the struggle. the pain. the shadows. because i know that’s what helped me move through all of the stuck energy.
BODY
i used to eat like shit. 12 years ago i stopped eating processed foods. 6 years ago i stopped eating sugar. for 7 years i’ve been eating a primal diet with foods from the land and sea. mostly from farmers i know personally. i rarely enter grocery stores and shop at local markets whenever possible. at 30 years old, i started working out. but not just lifting weights. resistance training. opening my hips. strengthening my back. overcoming many years of back pain.
MIND
for over a decade i’ve meditated. for the last 4 years, i’ve been starting my day with yoga nidra and breathwork. reading. slow movement. stretching. sunlight. sometimes a song on my guitar. i spend minimal time in buildings and around bright lights. red lights after the sun goes down.
SPIRIT
i’m incredibly selective with my music, my atmosphere, my friends, my space, my boundaries, and my screen time. i spend lots of time in nature. in rivers, in forests, walking slowly. observing what’s around me.
but the lifestyle isn’t what changed me.
what’s necessary to live this lifestyle on an embodied level is deep inner work. it’s a restructuring of your DNA, rewiring your subconscious, regulating your nervous system, and learning how to step into full authenticity.
if you are ready for that level of commitment, the doorway is here.
