Penn in his own words…
To quote a friend: I never run out of ink. Far as I see myself, I’m a goofy alien coasting the cosmos for stories & connection. I essentially channel ancient wisdom through song and story.
Early in life, I embraced my purpose of inspiring others to embody their unique weirdness. Since then, I’ve spent most of my time on this Earth living out of a backpack and doing everything for the story. Whether it’s finding love in the streets of New York or friendship in the slums of Denver or nearly failing my study abroad program and self-publishing a memoir about it, most of my journeys exist in the cavernous consciousness of my computer’s cloud or in the songs I sing.
For several years I lived in my car traveling back and forth across the US playing wherever I could. One time I played at a pet store. In addition to continuing my endless rambles, I’m focusing more energy on sharing my gifts so others may be inspired to inspire others. My intention being: to empower people to do whatever they’ve been holding back on.
I’ve never had a real job unless you count my stint as an environmental journalist. I was vegan for 8 years till I realized it was basically killing me. For most of my life I lived on less than 500 bucks a month. It took me 27 years to finally cut a pineapple open. With most of my Astrological chart in water and earth signs (excepting Saturn in Aquarius like the rest of my generation), I’m basically living, breathing Cosmic Mud.
My core belief is that everyone deserves to see the happiness within themselves. I’m doing my best to remember that every day.
See you around the fire…
